My name is Rick Baron and I’m an Advisor and Business Partner specializing in Human Resources Management and Recruiting.  I am currently working  as a Human Resources Professional in the Tampa Bay area of Florida, USA. Being a Human Resources professional, over the years I have seen many organizations and individuals seek to find that mutual place between work and life.   The organization struggles with leading people to do their best, while people try to balance meaningful work while trying to find financial stability, a place in which to find identify, and belonging.

"The workplace is changing and what we are seeing is a shift away from the traditional employer/employee relationship to something else that most can’t predict.   Unfortunately, most companies are using the same old methods in which to hire and retain employees while employees are using the same old habits in which to secure success." As an advocate for learning and career development I am always inspired by those who realize great joy through their work and the contributions they make to organizations and society.  To me this is profound vision and one that lasts a lifetime. Over the past several years I have been deeply moved by those wonderfully talented people who find themselves doubting their abilities and gifts during times of economic turbulence, unemployment, financial hardship.  Because of this I’ve made it a sincere mission of mine to help those people with what I have learned as a recruiter, HR and OD professional.  With this, I wish present a work that I have been developing over the past six months. The “Your Career 101 Guide” is spawned from a seminar I taught almost ten years ago.  It is an abbreviated, simple outline to help individuals assess their current employment condition, Explore their options, Analyze their path, and Act on what they learned.  Now being used by the University of South Florida in thier Career Programs. It doesn’t supposed to be the all inclusive book on career planning, but hopefully would prompt further reflection and action towards realizing the potential we all have in ourselves and our work.
